Anyone have a suggestion for a word to describe "should I keep plowing through this book that everyone else seems to love, but I don't? Or should I ditch it and go on to the next book I've been dying to read"?

A word for reading a book that was given to you as a gift but you aren't enjoying it at all .... and the gift giver keeps asking you how you like it because they absolutely loved it.
