Ever want to just hide from this crazy world in a good book?
Ive just started The Falls, an Inspector Rebus novel by Ian Rankin. Been looking forward to this one for a while.
Listening to The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware. Quite suspenseful but I felt the bad guy was somewhat over the top. Cant wait to hear what happens next, though. You can learn a good bit about tarot card readings at the beginning, if that sort of thing is of interest to you.
What good books are on your list this week?

(7,398 posts)The third novel featuring the Peter Ash character. Good stuff.
I read the title and thought to myself, "This sounds like it could be about..." And sure enough, "a well-planned and flawlessly executed hijacking reveals the hidden dangers of Colorado's mellowest business,"
Sounds pretty exciting, too.

(3,075 posts)interesting, sad, it's about dementia, Alzheimer's. My mom has dementia, so sometimes I have to put this down for a while.
hermetic

Bayard
(22,099 posts)Just finished, Phantom Prey, just started Extreme Prey. Both featuring Lukas Davenport.
I picked up a whole stack of his brand new hardbacks at a flea market for $4 a piece.
I find his books quite enjoyable.

(1,480 posts)A series of seemingly unrelated and vicious child murders have the police arresting everyone but the perpetrator.
The book keeps you guessing, but seems to follow the typical King narrative.
I didn't know he had a new book out.
