Ben McKenzie, familiar to The OC fans as two-fisted Newport Beach resident Ryan Atwood and to Southland fans as LAPD patrolman Ben Sherman, will be playing future police commissioner James Gordon in Foxs Gotham, which explores the City of Batman when the Worlds Greatest Detective was still grappling with the mystery of his own newly arrived pubes
Well see young master Bruce, as well as younger versions of Alfred Pennyworth, Selina Kyle, Edward Nigma, Oswald Cobblepot and maybe Jack Napier (or whoever becomes The Joker in this continuity).

(9,527 posts)but DC is so much better at TV and direct to video movies.
Even leaving aside the Diniverse of Batman The Animated Series, Justice League, etc, things like the Batman Year One or the Dark Knight Returns or the Wonder Woman movies are just light years ahead of where Marvel is on animated movies.
Granted DC has had some non-super hero movies that were based off of graphic novels like V for Vendetta and A History of Violence and Road to Perdition that help bring up DC's overall theater movie average. But nobody thinks of those as DC movies.
Then again, I think it is because that Marvel TV tends to cater more towards children.
I feel like they have gotten better though, at least when you consider the Disney XD series.
Agents of Shield, I feel is a missed opportunity that I will still watch because I consider it as supplemental material to the movies.
I am however, excited with the prospect of a Gotham series with the guy from Southland as a young Commissioner Gordon.
