Said Bochy: “We just got some bad news on Brian Wilson. We had some tests done last night and it does show some structural issues with the elbow, so we’re going to get a second or even a third opinion with Brian. There are definitely some issues there. …

“Initially, I was just being optimistic that he would be fine, but after the tests done yesterday, it doesn’t look very good right now.”

Wilson pitched Wednesday and Thursday in Colorado, getting a save Thursday despite allowing three hits and a walk. Wilson has had Tommy John surgery and might be looking at having it again.

If Wilson does have surgery, his season is over.

Wilson says his season is over. Had whimsical take on it. Called it a minor thing to miss a season because he plans on pitching forever.

Wilson said elbow issues dated to 2010 but was flexor strain. Didn't involve UCL. Confirmed that is the issue now.

Wilson said he looks at Tommy John as an opportunity to get a "better arm and throw harder."
