I'll Have Another bids farewell at Hollywood

http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/racing-news/2012/07/07/ill-have-another-bids-farewell-at-hollywood.aspx

Dual classic winner I'll Have Another paraded between races Saturday at Betfair Hollywood Park, his final public appearance before leaving the country.

The three-year-old Flower Alley colt was to enter quarantine on Sunday in preparation to travel to Japan, where he will begin stud duty next spring at Big Red Farm, on the island of Hokkaido. Last month, owner J. Paul Reddam sold the colt to the Japanese breeders for an undisclosed amount.

"It's sad," trainer Doug O'Neill told the Associated Press. "We all wanted so badly for him to stay in the United States. I was actually pushing for him to stay in California, but there was just very little interest."

O'Neill plans to take his family to visit the colt in Japan next spring.
