Great match...if I recall correctly, when they re-introduced tennis they didn't play a bronze medal match...they gave the semifinal losers each a bronze...Give Juan Martin a bronze, forchrisssake...great effort, but I'm relieved.

I know this year they give points in the Olympics towards the ATP and WTA standings, so if it's Djoker v Roger, that could also decide #1.

JM played really well today and should be proud of himself. It's not his best surface by far which made the match all that much more exciting.

Andy Murray in a repeat of the Wimbledon final. Intersting.

If you note another thread, I said Andy could beat Djoker in a best of three...this means Roger stays #1 regardless of Sunday's outcome...of course, we still want him to win gold!!!!

I was thinking yes because McEnroe was reporting from a location named "Wimbledon" in front of a tennis court.

But clearly Roger really wants this one, too...hopefully he has the extra day to recuperate and also plan a strategy.
