(56,177 posts)Great match...if I recall correctly, when they re-introduced tennis they didn't play a bronze medal match...they gave the semifinal losers each a bronze...Give Juan Martin a bronze, forchrisssake...great effort, but I'm relieved.
I need a sigh of relief emoticon.

(56,177 posts)I know this year they give points in the Olympics towards the ATP and WTA standings, so if it's Djoker v Roger, that could also decide #1.

(56,177 posts)Andy Murray in a repeat of the Wimbledon final. Intersting.
If you note another thread, I said Andy could beat Djoker in a best of three...this means Roger stays #1 regardless of Sunday's outcome...of course, we still want him to win gold!!!!

(29,322 posts)I was thinking yes because McEnroe was reporting from a location named "Wimbledon" in front of a tennis court.

(32,098 posts)Andy Murray is pumped to win this. We will have to cheer extra loud!
But clearly Roger really wants this one, too...hopefully he has the extra day to recuperate and also plan a strategy.
