Bad week-end for Wisconsin sports :( (Original Post) TBF Sep 2012 OP
The games in December, January and February count more than early September. Scuba Sep 2012 #1

They sucked...mainly favoring Green Bay, so I'm glad SF won.

I don't think you and I were watching the same game. But...since this was a national game and the officiating was REAL bad, maybe the NFL will reopen negotiations with the locked out officials. Let's hope so anyway. Those guys today were just awful.

I support the striking officials and want them back pronto. After today's debacle we can see they deserve a big raise!

They are locked out. Meaning that they will likely be willing to work while negotiating a new contract.

on the Cobb punt return, which got the Packers back in the game, there was a clear flagrant block in the back, which the officials originally called, and then for some strange reason they incorrectly picked up the flag allowing the TD..

There were some bad calls on both sides..but they were hardly the difference in the game. I was checking out the early games and from what I saw the replacements seemed to be doing a decent job..but 49ers/Packers was a whole different issue.

It completely turned the game around for Green Bay...it was terrible.

Yeah the Cobb punt return non call was bad, but so was the one where James Jones got held up at around the two or three yard line, preventing him from catching the ball and scoring a td. And so was the one where Bulaga got called for holding when the defensive guy blew past him. And so was the one where Woodson got called for illegal use of the hands. The officiating sucked in the game; both teams had reason to gripe, but do not point out one play as "favoring" the Packers.
