Somebody has to be responsible for the owner's fuck ups. And we all know it can't be the owners. Who would run the team if they didn't? So the owners can never take responsibility. That is why rich people are eternally irresponsible.

If they don't, I may have to find another team to root for next year so I don't avoid baseball at all like I did this season!

and I voted for him. I don't think Hurdle is going anywhere. Just surprised to see him on this list.

As painful as it was to see Ichiro go, the young guys really started to step up after his release. There`s definitely some reason for optimism going forward. The M`s pitching staff is solid, and some of Jack Z`s prospects are just about ready for prime time. If they can replace Smoak and Brendan Ryan with a couple guys who can actually hit above the Mendoza line, the AL West could be interesting in the next couple years.

Nobody.

CLEVELAND (AP) -- One month, one miserable month wiped out almost everything Manny Acta did for three years.

''That month just crushed our hopes,'' Acta said.

And cost him his second job as a major league manager.

Acta was fired Thursday by the Cleveland Indians, who collapsed from contention with a 5-24 record in August, the worst month in the franchise's 112-year history. Acta, hired in 2009 after two tough seasons in Washington, paid the steepest price for the Indians' stunning slide that dropped them to last place in the AL Central.

I could swear it says "Time left: Unlimited". Do you usually rewrite the rules of the game to suit you?

Or, as my DI told us in Basic: "If you ain't cheatin", you ain't tryin'!"
