3. How the hell does Florida get ahead of Oregon?

Apparently America is just dying for a second SEC championship game, like last year's barnburner.

4. Florida

has better passing and defensive stats. Oregon has a better rushing attack. Florida also faced tougher competition.

Either it is silly to complain about rankings at this point, things don't start getting set in stone until about week 12 and both teams still have to win their games. Oregon's toughest games -- @Arizona State, @USC, Stanford, and @Oregon State. Florida has South Carolina, Georgia*, and @Florida State.

The writers rank the SEC teams higher to begin with so it's an automatic bias...bring on the playoffs and end this farce!

Oregon's best victories are over (4-3)Fresno State, (3-3)Arizona, and (3-3)Washington.

Florida has victories over (5-1)Texas A&M(who began the season unranked) (3-3)Tennessee, and (6-1)LSU.

I can't believe they're still in the top 10...yeah, they beat South Carolina, but they're over-rated as well.

Aside from that, LSU has one of the nation's best pass defenses.

I don't really care about strength of schedule so much but more how good a team is and Florida has good numbers. Oregon is a much better team at running the ball so there is that. But at this point it really doesn't matter since there is a lot of football left to be played.
