I was in a local sport bar in NY, which is also a big Red Sox bar. On the TVs, they had special reports from Red Sox Spring training. Man, the Red Sox sports guys were talking up John Lackey in a big, big way. It made me chuckle. How can you tell that a pitcher has good stuff by watching him throw a bullpen session?

I'm willing to give Lackey one more chance...but like most fans he needs to prove himself pretty darn quickly this year after the last few.

in the hopes to ship him off in a trade to someone. Maybe back to the Angels?

Yet wouldn't quit...maybe that's true, or maybe just part of the hype...he could do well now that he's healthy...and if they ship him off, who do they have? Not really deep in pitching right now.
