(29,322 posts)Not much of a shock to me as they were incredibly tough against my team--Arizona State. They always played well against the top conference teams, their losses are always close games. However, they played like shit against California schools so it is impressive they finally handled Cal.
I'm still sad Arizona State let a 15-point lead slip away. They really needed that win to make the tournament.

(21,024 posts)since the Huskies fell apart in OT against Oregon. I'll be surprised if they're invited to the NCAA. They don't deserve it.

(29,322 posts)was Arizona State @ Washington. ASU shot well over 60%, played their best game of the season. Only problem, Washington was better. Jahii Carson missed a game winner in that game and they lost 96-93, I believe. Hell of a game. '
Both teams should be a force next year. I'll be surprised if ASU gets in because their non-conference RPI is horrendous.
Arizona State [21-12 (9-9), RPI: 84, SOS: 109] The Sun Devils had their chance. After Wednesday's thrilling overtime win over Oregon State, they got out in front of UCLA Thursday, leading by as many as 15 in the second half. But the Bruins fought back to claim the win, and as such, Arizona State is almost certain to find themselves on the outside of the tournament looking in. I'm keeping them on the page because a) pixels are free, and b) there's a tiny, tiny chance the committee does something unusual and sneaks the Sun Devils in. But at just 6-8 against the top 100 and with an RPI in the 80s, it's not looking good.
