...although the Clippers did a good job controlling him in games 1 and 2. What's ridiculous is how much Randolph gets away with in terms of getting away with fouling dirty all the fricking time. All those double fouls they called on Griffin and Randolph weren't double fouls, and he should have been ejected from Game 6 after trying to choke Blake Griffin. Memphis is a good team, but they won this series because they played dirty and Joey Crawford let them get away with it over and over again. The ironic thing is that last year, Reggie Evans, who is considered one of the dirtiest players in the league, looked like a choir boy when he matched up against Randolph. And that shit with Gasol at the end was some serious fakery, Chris Paul did not block him out that hard.

Every time I hear someone say they won because they were dirty. I ask, why didn’t we just come back and give them a taste of what they did
You never hear that excuse in football, because if a team plays dirty the other team will come back and play just as dirty.

Not to mention when you wrestle in the mud with a pig all that ends up happening is the pig likes it and you get dirty.

I'd also note that Blake Griffin clearly was not 100% for Games 5 and 6.

Didn’t they loose game 3 and 4 with Blake at 100%?. It’s also funny that you didn’t hear from the Clippers that “dirty play was the reason we lost the series".. Sounds like excuses grade schoolers would make...

Blake Griffin made clear that Randolph had grabbed him by the throat. What are they supposed to do? Say something that's going to get them fined. Naw, they don't roll like that, because they have class.

Are you even a Clippers fan? Yeah they need to make some roster changes but this clearly wasn't as good a series as last year because Memphis played with a chip on their shoulder, and Zach Randolph in particular played dirty. Considering that J.R. Smith was ejected and suspended for an elbow that Zach Randolph wasn't suspended was ridiculous.

You know it's not as if that's the first crap game Joey Crawford had officiated, dude needs to be retired.

Vinnie D is a huge problem....Can you disagree with anything stated in the article.?

Both players have talent, are likely to improve, and they won't get a fair return.

I wish they had kept Reggie Evans just to "bully," "manhandle," and "push" Zach Randolph around back a little. At the same time, when doing so is going to result in a bunch of ticky-tack fouls on Blake Griffin for doing so, whom the Clippers need to rebound and score it's an impossible situation. Lamar Odom was insufficient as a replacement, but let's face it, there aren't a lot of guys who are going to go out there and play dirty like Randolph. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are not the answer, not even a little bit. The Clippers need to get younger and faster if anything along with resigning Chris Paul of course. Del Negro isn't a bad coach, but he's also not a great coach. Maybe Phil Jackson is interested...

Blake may be a devastating roll-man, but his inability to consistently hit shots from the perimeter limits Paul’s ability to create and allows defenses to clog the lane.

You almost know he’s gonna roll every time.. Its catching up with him..

The Clippers are actually best though when the run the offense through him on the roll - it's demoralizing to get dunked on over and over again and then that opens up the 3-ball. They need to get better backups for Griffin and Jordan (K-Mart and Reggie Evans were better than Odom and Hollins) and Chauncey Billups is not a starting shooting guard, but other than that no big changes are needed.

Its only natural however, to go to your strength 80% of the time. Defenses are beginning to collapse more effectively as time goes by and relying on the 3 pointer to bail you out is dangerous.
