After the Softball Sooners won in 2000, football went on to win the national championship.

Finishing 57-4 and 10-0 in the NCAA Tournament, this team deserves to be in the discussion as one of the best teams ever.

Definitely. 10-0 in the tournament, with five wins coming by the run rule. A tournament scoring differential of 91-16 (32-8 in the WCWS). Only allowed more than three runs four times all year, while scoring double digits twenty times. A number two pitcher who is one of the best in the country and a number one pitcher who is one of the best dual threats of all time. And an offensive lineup to match. Very nice to see them close the deal last night.

The first game was the thriller though, winning in extra innings.

She won game one, but she pitched like 188 pitches, so her backup, Michelle Gascoigne pitched game two.
