Is there any way to watch post-season baseball without cable or satellite TV?

I tried to sign up for MLB.tv last night.

Well, actually, I paid for it. But it didn't work and when I read the fine print, I discovered that I can't get it if I am in the US. So what did I pay $24.95 for?

Am I missing something here?

Is is true that everyone in the US who gets their TV over the air or through the internet is effectively shut out from watching the games?

That seems grossly unfair.

3. That's some kind of "companion" coverage that supplements the show if you are watching on

TBS (or something).

It doesn't really give you the game.

and it worked great.

Be warned it appears much more difficult to cancel your subscription than to begin it. I couldn't find any control on the website and surmise cancellation happens by email only. Really odd. By the time I got to this -- Oct 2nd -- I had already been billed $2.99 for the month of October with no chance of refund. $2.99 is no big deal. But I cancelled my PayPal account just to be sure I'm not charged again. And I don't think I sign up for next season.

8. The problem is I really wanted to watch it on the TV, but I guess the little screen will have to do.

Radio I'm getting through the Sirius and it's ok so far. Reminds me of my early childhood.

2. I saw that on their site. I would call that 800 number and get a refund.

Games are available 90 minutes after completion but that is pretty weak. Hope you can get a refund. BTW, Fox is carrying the ALCS.

6. You can web stream the cable channels.

Here is a good place to start: http://www.tvpc.com/ChannelList.php

There are several TBS choices. Just be aware that a lot of these sites have tons of ads. Don't be fooled by the ones that tell you that you need to update some software, like your media player or flash. Just click on the "X" (some are really tiny), and they will go away.

The fact that regular people who get their TV OTA can't watch some of these games seems really unfair.

Baseball is the game of the people, imo. There should be a rule that everyone who can access free television should be able to access post-season games.

Anyway, i've resorted to listening on Sirius radio, which has taken me back in time and is not bad at all.

Geaux Sox!! Geaux Dodgers!!
