When the Duck Boats reached the finish line of the Boston Marathon, they stopped. One player got out with the World Series trophy and placed it on the finish line with the "617 Boston Strong" shirt the team has carried with it since the bombing.

My son was born on October 29th 1986, at 9:38 pm and the night before, I was watching the World Series never thinking what that could do. Wow I learned soon enough I went right into labor after Bill Buckner missed the ball. 24 painful hours later, John was born and I forgotten all about the Red Sox losing the World Series that year.
