The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a four-year, $48 million deal with right-handed pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.
Fox Sports earlier reported the two sides had reached an agreement.
The deal is still pending a physical.
Jimenez, 30, went 13-9 with a 3.30 ERA, 194 strikeouts and 80 walks in 182 2/3 innings pitched with the Cleveland Indians last season.

Cleveland wipes a big expense from the books and gets a draft choice. Baltimore gets a big question mark.

And what we got in the trade for him with the Indians didn't pan out. Right-hander Alex White and lefty Drew Pomeranz are gone now. First baseman Matt McBride and right-hander Joe Garner never have made it to the majors.

(1,290 posts)I remember watching Rockies games on the Extra Innings package after that trade, and your announcers (Goodman and Frazier?) were spinning it as if the Rockies had acquired the modern day version of Koufax and Drysdale.

Pomeranz is vying for a spot on the A's 2014 roster.
