You should see the Clippers fans strutting around the office this morning.
(Clippers 142, Lakers 94...and the final score makes it look closer than it was. My boys got smoked-ed.)
How is that possible?

(1,290 posts)were "Laker diehards" just two short years ago. At least most Kings fans would never cheer for the Ducks.
the Lakers aren't shit without Kobe.
Looks like they'll be in the cellar for a while, while the Clippers be L.A.'s team. It sort of begs the question regarding when the last time was that both teams were good or bad at the same time. It always seems like the Clippers and Lakers heat up at different times, huh?

(47,554 posts)Maybe they can call themselves L.A.'s Team if they put together a couple of championships (or even just one), and the Lakers have a down decade. See, the Lakers only hang championship banners, and there's a lot of those hanging where the Clippers play their home games.
Don't get me wrong. I know a lot of long suffering Clippers fans, and I'm happy they got some joy right now. But the Clippers have been bottom dwellers around here for a long long long long time. It's gonna be a few minutes before they can call it their town.
