Harrison, who has had the misfortune of regularly drawing some of the top players in early rounds in tournaments in recent months, defeated Kazakh Andrey Golubev 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday to set up a second round showdown with Italian seeded player Fabio Fognini.

Also on Thursday, American Tom Smyczeck beat compatriot Jack Sock in three sets and 35-year-old Michael Russell beat fellow American Donald Young in three sets ...

Young has been a disappointment and I must admit I don't know much about Jack Sock - except that he's younger like Ryan so maybe there's still some hope there.

until clay season. Then there will be a miraculous recovery and he will be fit as a fiddle for Roland Garros

I think the Federer vs. Djoker match is 5 eastern today ... but if I watch he won't win so I'll check back here later.

At his age and so many years of steorid abuse, it will take more than 3 months for all the shit he'll need to get his body back to cheating shape for the clay season.
