Roger Federer may miss French Open

ONACO -- Roger Federer is prepared to skip tournaments -- including possibly the French Open -- to be with his wife when she gives birth again.

Federer, who has twin daughters with wife Mirka, announced on Dec. 24 they are expecting their third child, although they have not said when.

The 32-year-old Federer still does not know the due date.

"So we're just waiting," Federer said Wednesday at the Monte Carlo Masters. "It's a priority for me trying to be there, trying to support my wife. I've played enough tennis matches. Missing a tournament or missing a match wouldn't change anything for me."

Another reason why we love the GOAT!

and in his life. I have rarely read anything bad about him, he is not perfect but mostly a good human I think. I still wear my RF hat while watching the slams.

OK joeybee, I have never heard the nickname GOAT. Can you explain that?

I am going to have to miss a lot of the French this year because I will be driving on a quick but rather long trip I HATE to miss anything these days never knowing if and when he makes the decision to stop playing. Oh well, I sure have spent a lot of time watching him. Love the guy too (as you know).

2009 was great, and I paid attention last year because I thought Djoker could knock him off...unfortunately not.

Federer Sets All-Swiss Final
Monte-Carlo, Monaco
by ATP Staff
19.04.2014

Roger Federer will face Stanislas Wawrinka in an all-Swiss final at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters after beating defending champion Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-2 on Saturday in the semi-finals. Federer has a 13-1 FedEx ATP Head2Head lead over Wawrinka and has won his past 11 meetings with the Australian Open champion. But Wawrinka’s only win over his countryman came here at the Monte-Carlo Country Club in 2009.

And i think Stan's game is well-suited for clay...rather see Roger win since he never has...although neither has Stan.

Stan win. Would have preferred Roger, but Stan has been working really hard. At least it wasn't Joker or Rafa.

And Stan is there to take advantage of it...would have rather seen Roger because he's never won Monte Carlo, but hopefully beating Djoker gives him confidence.

And I had to look him up - I thought he was one of the young up and comers - but he's not! He's older than Rafa. Hahahahah!!!!!
