Historic MLB game played in San Francisco, July 13th ...

versus the D-Backs.

Giants' pitcher Madison Bumgarner and catcher Buster Posey became the first battery in MLB history to hit grand slams in the same game.

Posey's came in the 5th and Bumgarner's came in the 6th. Giants won 8-4.

Last done by Tony Cloninger, who hit both in the same game for Atlanta on July 3, 1966, against the Giants at Candlestick Park. I don't think there are any others.

But his first came against the Rockies so it isn't that big a deal.

Too bad that his pitching today removed him from the All-Star Game.
