Crap...Djoker won it, 7-6 in the third...I thought he was doomed. The Limey bastard won easily, Gulbis and Fognini were upset...not much on the women's side, although Maria has gone to a third set, and later an interesting second round match between Sam Stosur and Serena...Stosur is not seeded, which tells you how far she's fallen...still, she's capable of doing well, just not consistently.

And, of course, Roger won easily yesterday.

Roger Federer makes short work of Peter Polansky seeing off Canadian in 52 minutes

Roger Federer cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over wild card Peter Polansky in the second round of the Rogers Cup, while Ernest Gulbis, Richard Gasquet and Fabio Fognini also advanced in the US Open warm up Tuesday.

Federer needed just 52 minutes to eliminate Canada's Polansky, who beat 2013 Wimbledon finalist Jerzy Janowicz on Monday. The second-seeded Federer had a bye into the second round.

Gulbis moved into the second round with a 6-3, 6-4 win against Joao Sousa of Portugal. Gasquet beat local favorite Vasek Popisil 7-5, 7-5, and Fognini defeated Russia's Mikhail Youzhny, 6-4, 6-3.
