8/30/14: Brandon Crawford makes a diving stop up the middle and flips to second, starting a 6-4-3 double play and preserving the no-hit bid for Giant's starter Jake Peavy.

Brewers' Mark Reynolds hit a single with one out in the top of the eighth. Peavy was removed from the game one out later after having thrown 113 pitches.

Peavy recorded his 2,000th career strikeout during the game. He's the fifth active Major League pitcher to achieve 2,000-plus strikeouts (CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, Bartolo Colon and teammate Tim Hudson).
