Series-ly...glad they did this because they were forced to instead of covering it up and hoping it would pass, but I can't imagine he'll go quietly.

and it gets settled early...I mean, does the NFL and the Ravens want it to come out that they really did know and didn't care until they had to?

The casino CANNOT tell them no. If they did, a judge would issue a warrant in a minute.

They saw it. I think there is a bigger problem in how the state messed this up. If there are cover-ups, i think what went on in the Jersey justice system is WAY worse than the NFL coverup.

. . .he was highly critical of Rice. Now, at the same time, he said he needed to talk to him to see how he was, so it was a mixed message. He was extremely critical of hitting a woman, and he said he was disappointed because he took him under his wing when Rice was just a young guy, but then he started showing the whole "but what about Ray" thing.

He was headed in a good diretion and then fucked it up.

and it will be much more than just Rice affected. I find it not just difficult, but impossible to believe that the commissioner didn't see this "inside the elevator" footage weeks ago when the story came out. I wouldn't be surprised if the owners had seen it too (or at least had access to see it). If it comes out that Goodell had access to this video when Rice got the 2 game suspension (he claims he didn't), there will be owners looking to oust him. Some owners already have issues with him, and this provides them the opportunity to get rid of him.

Kraft will drop his support like a hot potato, and you have a bunch of billionaires (those who want to oust Goodell) with the resources and motivation to find and leak such evidence.

I'd like to see the league take a leadership role here and start banning these guys. Yesterday was a good start even though they had to be pushed into action.
