Aussie Open Spoilers...Not sure if these are upsets...

Azarenka beat Caroline, which, considering how Caroline is playing, is an upset, so it appears as if Azarenka may be back...after she beat Sloane I thought that meant nothing because Sloane's time has come and gone. Serena beat Vera Zeranova (I know I have the spelling wrong)...and I have to ask, what happened with Vera? She seemed to be someone to look out for a few years back.

Finally Monfils lost, although since he's the most inconsistent player out there, this is not a surprise. He probably is the most talented of all the French players, and maybe the one with the most natural talent, but the focus has never been there...he could be up with the Big 4, IMHO, but he doesn't seem to show any inclination of buckling down.
