This was the game people expected last year...close, drama, and not decided until the end.
This is what made it all worthwhile...Tom Brady jumping up and down like a little kid when it was clear Butler had intercepted that pass. He loves the game...that's why it should be played.
Tom Brady is the greatest quarteback ever...actually, this debate will rage on, however, Brady just gave a lot more ammo to his fans. Just look at his playoff stats...he pretty much owns all the records.
Most ironic moment? Reporters trying to get Marshawn Lynch to talk about not being given the ball on second and goal.
Why was Tom MVP with 2 interceptions...350+ yards against one of the best defenses in recent memory, 9 of 9 on the winning drive...that's greatness.
That call wasn't so bad. Lynch is 1-5 from the one yard line all season...and if the Seahwaks had run, didn't make it, they would have used their last time out because that was the only way to stop the clock, and then it would have been painfuly obvious they would have passed on 3rd down...the call was made because of time.
Deflategate was made up. Back when there was journalism in this country, stories never went to print until a second source confirmed the first. The first story came from Mortenson who hates the Pats, and it turns out only one ball was deflated, and it also turns out that the balls were not gauged prior to the game....what's his name, the head of the refs, went out of his way to say the balls were gauged, not that they used a gauge, they didn't and that's why they weren't logged. Then the second sensational story, "zeroing in" on that locker room attendant...same source, and it turns out that the guy is elderly and no way he could have deflated all those balls, which, we find out, weren't defalted after all. All that crap posted, that media frenzy, was based on that innaccurate reporting. The scary part? People believe everything they read, and some are still clinging to those lies. The only question now is who in the NFL hates the Pats? Colts claim they didn't have anything to do with the balls being taken and tested...my bet is on the Jits.
I missed Downton Abbey because of this. Not complaining, just noting this. This season hasn't been as good as past ones...they need something very dramatic to liven it up in the next 3 episodes.

(32,086 posts)well I don't think it's the Packers. Rodgers apparently likes his over-inflated. It was a great game & I thoroughly enjoyed Richard Sherman's face when Butler caught that ball.
