Kevin Olsen's career at Towson is over before it began.

The former Miami quarterback has been dismissed from the FCS program for a violation of team rules. He transferred to Towson this winter.

“The relationship we had with the kid and his family has gone on for quite some time, and everybody was pretty much assured that this would work out for the positive,” Towson coach Rob Ambrose said via the Baltimore Sun. “So it’s disappointing for Kevin, it’s disappointing for us, and we’ll just move on.”...

He had a brief and tumultuous tenure with the Hurricanes. Olsen, the brother of current Carolina Panthers tight end and former Miami Hurricane Greg Olsen, was a redshirt freshman in 2014 and had been suspended three times as a Miami player. His suspension in the spring of 2014 helped Brad Kaaya to seize the starting quarterback job for the season.
