Christianity in much of the Philippines is ubiquitous, but from what I saw on my one trip there is much more a welcoming phenomenon than we often see among those thumping Bibles hardest here.

As the boxing community knows, Manny approaches his brand of christianity much in the way some newly-sober folks approach AA: he insists that everyone needs to follow in his exact foot-steps, and that they recognize his as the leader of his club.

I definitely respect Pacquiao as a fighter. And I admire the good work he does for the poor and suffering in his country. But I do not regard him as a theologian.

I am probably not 100% objective, in terms of how I think their 5-2 fight will play out. But in terms of what I've seen of Manny practicing his religion, Floyd ain't a factor.

He'd fit right in the Republican Party here.

It's a shame they can't both lose.

He is very judgmental. Obnoxiously so.
