"Isiah Thomas returns to N.Y. basketball as Liberty president, part owner"
Isiah Thomas is returning to New York basketball, despite a checkered reign with the Knicks that ended ignominiously in the aftermath of a 2007 sexual harassment scandal.
Thomas has become president and part owner of the New York Liberty of the WNBA, the team announced Tuesday.

(9,527 posts)5. At least Isiah Thomas isn't failing upward like George W Bush did
In spite of being objectively bad at the things he did, he kept managing to turn one job he failed at into something more lucrative that he would then fail at.
Where Thomas screwed up the Knicks (admittedly not the organization's only problem), then a secondary league and now a single WNBA team. So at least he's working his way down the ladder.
