2. I am guessing that voting is heavily promoted & Royals have seen a massive tickets sales increase

They could end up with more starters voted in this year than they have during the past 20 years combined.

... the NL All-Star team included practically the entire Cincinnati Reds lineup.

There is no regulation to all-star voting, so a competant publicist can rouse ballot-box stuffing for any candidates he wishes. Voting is national, so Joe Blow from KC can receive votes from New York to San Diego. Bill James discussed this in the first edition of the Historical Baseball Abstract.

they screwed-up All-Star voting big-time.

When I'm Emperor players, ex-players, coaches and ex-coaches will be the only voters.
