Texas to light Tower tonight to honor Jordan Spieth’s U.S. Open win
Texas will light the tower tonight to honor former Longhorn golfer Jordan Spieth’s U.S. Open win.
Spieth won the event Sunday to earn his second straight major championship. He was victorious at the Masters in April.
He’s the first Longhorn to win consecutive majors. And he’s the only one to win two majors in the same season.
Ben Crenshaw was the first UT golfer with two major tournament wins in his career. He won two Masters. Spieth is the second Longhorn to win the U.S. Open. Tom Kite was the first.

Even though it's golf.
Doesn't that make people afraid of the ghost of Charles Whitman? 
if they win conference or national championship in any sport they light the tower in burnt orange, with the national championship they will also display the number "1" in the lighting.
