Cowboys running back Joseph Randle receives deferred adjudication in shoplifting case
This week Cowboys running back Joseph Randle received deferred adjudication in connection to a shoplifting arrest in Frisco last fall.
Randle was arrested in October at Stonebriar Mall after police said he tried to take a bottle of cologne and a pack of underwear from Dillards. A security officer stopped him at the mall. If Randle stays out of trouble for the next 180 days, the class C misdemeanor theft charge will be dismissed.
Hes just relieved and ready to move on and focus on training camp, said his attorney, Steven Bell, who noted that Randle regretted the situation. Hes a good young man.
Randle told Frisco police he didnt pay for the items because he didnt want to take the time to do it and that he should have just kept walking to his car if he knew he would be arrested, according to the arrest report. Later he called it the biggest mistake of my life.
