The Blue Jays have agreed to acquire star lefty David Price from the Tigers, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports. Medicals have been reviewed and will pose no issues, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com tweets.
The marquee piece coming in return is top Blue Jays prospect Daniel Norris, Heyman adds. The full haul includes a trio of lefties: Norris, Jairo Labourt, and Matt Boyd, as Gideon Turk of BlueJaysPlus was first to note on Twitter.
Norris just took the 18th spot on Baseball Americas mid-season round-up of the games best prospects. Labourt, 21, is working at the High-A level while the 24-year-old Boyd has spent most of the year in the high minors after a brief (and rough) two-start stint in the majors.

Blue Jays are making a serious run for the A.L. East. Or at least, the Wild Card.

(44,228 posts)Price just kills the Jays. I'd much rather have him on our team, than pitching against us.
Beuhrle and Dickey come off contract at the end of the season, freeing up about $32 million. Maybe the Jays will take a run at re-signing Price.
