---- ----- suspends four for Va. Tech opener

Four Ohio State players have been suspended for the season opener against Virginia Tech on Sept. 7.

Defensive end Joey Bosa, H-Backs Dontre Wilson and Jalin Marshall and wide receiver Corey Smith will miss the contest after violating Ohio State's Department of Athletics Policy, the school said in a release Thursday.

Ohio State players were suspended for marijuana and academics per source

Of the four, Bosa is probably the biggest loss. Bosa was a consensus All-American last year with 13.5 sacks. He is widely considered one of the top NFL draft picks for 2016. Either Sam Hubbard or Jalyn Holmes, two of the Buckeyes underclassmen, likely will fill Bosa’s role....

Undisputed. Made and then won the playoff. An argument could be made that Baylor (the Big Twelve's champ according to the Big Twelve's tie-break system that I already linked to) got screwed, but not TCU. And given the results, Baylor got screwed by Florida State.

This is a settled argument.

TCU was not allowed to participate in the (still) Fictitious National Championship despite having as good a record as that crappy school from that crappy state.

The Big 12 began using a "One True Champion" slogan last year as a nod to its nine-game, round-robin conference schedule, but ultimately had to name Baylor and TCU its co-champions last season due to its previous bylaws. Both teams were awarded Big 12 title trophies. Bowlsby said under the new agreement, only one team will receive a trophy in the event of a tie.

No way that conference was getting two teams in. Baylor beat TCU.

Oh, and by the way, Braxton Miller is not going to pull a Tebow. He's going to get in rep's as a receiver this season.
