Not one post about new NFL coach Jen Welter?

TEMPE, Ariz. -- In March, Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians was asked when the NFL would have a female coach.

The answer was Monday.

The Cardinals hired Jen Welter as an assistant coaching intern for training camp and the preseason to work with inside linebackers. She is believed to be the first female coach of any kind in the NFL.

This football fan welcomes you. Good luck, Jen.

It's a good thing. There hasn't been the ability for women to get their foot in the door. With the NBA, women have had access to the college game or the WNBA and it still took until last year and an unusually stable and successful franchise to do that in the Spurs.

That's why i didn't get as charged up as i did over the woman with the Spurs. It's not a full time regular season job, so while it's a good thing, it's not earth shattering.
