Plane that was supposed to fly ‘We got DeMarco’ banner over Cowboys camp crashed, pilot killed
Update: NJ.com writer Matt Lombardo reports that a source of his has confirmed that the plane carrying the banner was the one funded by Philadelphia Eagles fans.
He writes: While there has been no official confirmation that the plane that crashed in California is connected with the banner planned to be flown over the Cowboys training camp, a source with knowledge of the incident informed NJ Advance Media that it was, in fact, the plane funded by Eagles fans that crashed.
Original: Both Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles fans have been in the news recently by starting Go Fund Me pages for banners to be flown over each teams camp this offseason.
This morning at Eagles camp, a banner that read WE STILL DEM BOYZ! flew over fans. Cowboys DE Greg Hardy chipped in $300 of his own money to help the cause.
