I noted in GD..ESPN had pretty much crowned Serena before it began...now how are they going to promote the final?????

I am a huge Serena fan but pretty stoked for Pennetta and Vinci, who both pulled off big upsets. Hats off to both of them. Should be a great final.

She creamed Halep and I thought Petra might win it all and she beat her, too. Who would thought.

Great tournament. I didn't think Petra could go the distance coming off being sick for much of the summer.

I thought Halep and Azarenka would be Serena's only threats but what do I know. Lol

Muted, of course. Azarenka was hitting hard and good and moving well...I thought she might finally come through that side of the draw.

She is almost there, almost back to what she was, but something's still missing. I can't stand Azarenka but her playing well is good for the game.

They really need more depth...Screamapova has several slams, but she's nowhere any of the greats...it's not like you went from maragret Court and BIll Jean to Chris and Martina and then Steffi...all with lots of overlaps between their playing years.

Is more exciting than the men's. I would love to see Marin and Stan advance to the final.

And while I think Stan could beat Roger today, I don't think he'll also then beat either of the other two.

Thought so too, but not any more. Wow, Cilic got destroyed. Wonder why he can't handle Djoker. He's a great player.
