http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/michigan-state-snaps-osu-s-23-game-winning-streak-with-last-second-fg-235557508.htmlOhio States 23-game winning streak has come to an end.
On a rainy, miserable day in Columbus, No. 9 Michigan State knocked No. 3 Ohio State from the ranks of the unbeaten when Michael Geiger hit a 41-yard field goal as time expired to give the Spartans a 17-14 win.
The Spartans, playing without star quarterback Connor Cook, used a combination of two inexperienced quarterbacks Tyler OConnor and Damion Terry to rack up 203 yards on the ground. On the other side, the stout Spartans defense limited the defending national champions to only 132 total yards.
The win does two things for the Spartans: it gives them control of the Big Ten East and also vaults them back into College Football Playoff contention. And for the Buckeyes, the loss could be the one that knocks them from the four-team playoff.

Except that it could be the one that locks the Amish in.

Not sure it will. ..the Big 12 might sneak Oklahoma in...they're the only one with a chance now from that conference.

(72,790 posts)3. Even if they beat Stanford, I still don't think ND
Is one of the top four teams in the nation. Good team, but not great. I think Oklahoma is better.
And I think Ohio St, Mich St and Michigan are all better than Iowa and ND.

(56,177 posts)4. disagree totally
ND is better than all those teams...they should get in but I don't think they will.

(72,790 posts)5. If they end up with 1 loss and Clemson remains unbeaten
Then ND Kind of has to be in. It should be interesting to see how ND makes out. Still not convinced they're that good.

(56,177 posts)6. they need 8 teamd

ND should be under the ACC.
