Texas tops Minnesota, advances to NCAA final

OMAHA — Texas is heading to the NCAA final after beating Minnesota, 26-24, 27-25, 23-25, 25-21 on Thursday at CenturyLink Center.

The third-seed Longhorns will face the winner of No. 4 Nebraska and No. 9 Kansas on Saturday evening. Texas is 3-0 against them and swept Kansas in the regular season.

Texas (30-2) got big nights from Paulina Prieto Cerame (19 kills), Yasmeen Bedart-Ghani (15 kills, .583 hitting), Amy Neal (25 kills) and Chiaka Ogbogu (nine kills).

Ogbogu, a first-team All-American, missed most of the third game with what appeared to be a leg cramp.
