The greatest Bronco ever didn't make it.



SAN FRANCISCO-- Three Hall of Fame finalists for the Denver Broncos.

No Broncos elected. The news wasn't all bad. Running back Terrell Davis and safety John Lynch both finished in the top 10 of the modern-era voting. There were 15 modern-era finalists, including former Broncos safety Steve Atwater.

Only five were elected -- the Hall of Fame class of 2016 will be announced shortly. I just talked to Davis, Lynch and Atwater and all said they fell short. finishing in the top 10 is significant, however, for it puts Davis and Lynch to become favorites in the next year or two.

I didn't think he'd ever get serious consideration. Hopefully he and Lynch are in soon.
