Pelicans’ Bryce Dejean-Jones dies after gunshot wound

His agent told ESPN that he had died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Dallas police told the Dallas Morning News that Dejean-Jones suffered the injury early Saturday morning while breaking into a Dallas apartment.

He reportedly bled to death.

A Dallas County Medical Examiner spokesperson declined to provide details on the cause of death.

Police told the Dallas Morning News that Dejean-Jones broke into an apartment around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday morning, waking a man inside the apartment. Police say the man called out but did not receive a response, spurring him to grab his handgun. Dejean-Jones then kicked open the door to the man’s bedroom, according to police, and the man fired his weapon.



This is such a bizarre story. I read that he had issues in College, but this is just awful
