over the past several weeks. That's as impressive as it gets. Hats off to Bobby Evans, Brian Sabean, the front office and the coaching staff ... plus the AAA call-ups and journeymen (and all the regulars who never let up in play or in support).

Awesome effort.

The Sacramento River Cats (Giants AAA farm team) dropped into the cellar after their roster was gutted.

Upside: Denard Span returned last night in great form, and reports that both Joe Panik and Hunter Pence are working out with the team. Panik may return soon, and hopefully, Pence can return soon after that All-Star shit concludes.

30 to 60%? It dipped to 25% last week when only two players (I don't include pitchers) were fielded from the original roster: Posey and Belt.

Keep an eye on Green, he's goings places, despite the fact he once played for USC.

What happens to Green, Pena and Tejada when Tomlinson and Adrianza return? I believe Williamson and Parker have options, but those other three have to go through waivers.

I must have missed the line-up with just Posey and Belt. Too bad about the River Cats, but that's show biz.

He's made some huge boneheaded fielding mistakes this year. Not necessarily errors, just bad, bad amateur fielding decisions.

loved Crawford's two-run "fuck you" after the message pitches and the ejection. Samardzija focused and pitched better too.
