Funnily enough, we're now the squeaky clean NFL team of the Bay Area (if not the NFL) with choirboy Derek at QB and Big Reg & Gruden calling the shots ... NO WAY would Foster not be gone.

And a bust at an airport because he drunkenly blurted out something like 'so what you think I got a bomb or something' when they ordered a search.

There was certainly no violence towards women at the time we signed him.

And I promise you they did extreme diligence checking with friends, teammates, past coaches, etc, and everything came back saying 'he is NOT the kind of man that would do something like that'. And they were right it would seem.

But, if charges had been filed, I have a pretty good feeling he'd have been cut, but I guess we'll never know.

You're not going to win this argument with me, I promise you. I follow my team like a HAWK, I know what they're about. Since the Tracie Biletnikoff tragedy, and esp. since Mark took over, the Raiders do NOT FUCK AROUND when it comes to violence against women. Period. I know what I'm talking about.

Who they only released after he announced he was pleading guilty and being sentenced to jail. Let him play all year.

Face it, nobody is pristine. But the 49'ers are at the bottom now.

1) the owners are by and large a racist cabal
2) they treat the players exactly like chattel
3) they have priced the middle class family out of their live events
4) they have lied and covered up dangerous threats to player safety
5) they have treated loyal fans in multiple cities like used condoms (or worse)

And of course, the REAL reason they are losing fans...Colin Kaepernick!

Fuck them all, it will be fun watching them destroy the multi-billion dollar goose...

They haven't figured out how to accurately measure the number of people watching the games by stream, so they see lower TV numbers and freaked out.

If there was a way to force them to show their books, i'd think we'd find that there is no loss in revenue or profit, and they're lying about their concern over the bottom line.

On top of that, the Panthers just sold for over 2 and a quarter billion. If a team in Carolina is worth that much, then owners are seeing year over year increases in franchise valuation fo 11 to 14% per year. Now add the operating income and those teams are 25 to 30% profit centers.

If they weren't making money hand over fist, nobody would have paid 2.275 billion for the Panthers.

But frankly, a good team management would have, at the very least, suspended Foster pending trial, and a great team would have admitted that they made a mistake and cut him. Goodell better toss the book at Foster.

Cost more than the time to write a short email to them, just as it would to their advertisers. Copy and paste is easy. Certainly it would have a better chance of the outcome you are seeking than a post on a discussion board that is likely not read by team, league or advertisers.

a trio of teams abandoning their long-time homes in a 2-year span is causing me to think long and hard about whether I want to continue watching the NFL. I never thought that I would ever reach this point as someone who grew up loving pro football, but here I am. Most of these owners don't care about the fans, and they don't care about racial justice or about the sexual misconduct of their players.
