Big 12 could decide whether college football happens in 2020

The Big 12 could be the ultimate decider of whether there is a college football season in 2020.

Entering Tuesday, Power 5 conferences were split into three camps: The Big Ten and Pac-12 wanted to postpone their season in favor of a spring campaign, the SEC and ACC wanted to play a regular fall schedule and the Big 12 remained undecided.

Now that the Big Ten and Pac-12 have canceled their respective seasons, the Big 12 could ultimately decide whether there will be any college football this year — spring or fall.

Per Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated and Steven Godfrey Jr. of Banner Society, the ACC and SEC consider the Big 12 vital to playing a college football season in 2020.

If you don’t like it, then get out of the conference Nebraska.

Not like you are a powerhouse of it.

We can always bring in another school.

Long time Big Ten school. They won’t want to risk the loss of league revenue.

The Big 10 and Pac 8 just made it easier for the Big 12 cancelling as well. It's a hard choice but unfortunately its the only choice.
