The Big 12 could be the ultimate decider of whether there is a college football season in 2020.
Entering Tuesday, Power 5 conferences were split into three camps: The Big Ten and Pac-12 wanted to postpone their season in favor of a spring campaign, the SEC and ACC wanted to play a regular fall schedule and the Big 12 remained undecided.
Now that the Big Ten and Pac-12 have canceled their respective seasons, the Big 12 could ultimately decide whether there will be any college football this year spring or fall.
Per Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated and Steven Godfrey Jr. of Banner Society, the ACC and SEC consider the Big 12 vital to playing a college football season in 2020.
