Related: About this forumI think Peyton will choose the broncos...why?
Because the AFC West stinks! He's going to choose a non-competitive division with a decent team and they'll make the playoffs and he'll look like their saviour.

(24,853 posts)The University of Phoenix Stadium has the first retractable natural grass playing surface built in the United States. An opening on one side of the stadium allows the field to move to the outside of the building, allowing the entire grass field to be exposed to sunlight.
I hardly think he'd want to play outside in the snow, what with his bad spine and all.

(20,365 posts)but I think the real reason he won't come to Denver is the cold. Snow ain't really a factor here, but it is colder than he's used to.

(29,322 posts)In 2012, AFC West may be strong, medium, or weak depending on free agents, drafts, releases, and lucky bounces. In 2011 they drew the NFC North & AFC East which is a contributing factor to overall records, plus they didn't have a division cupcake. KC was better than the 7-9 record when you factor in all those games Palko played. Each team with a division record of 3-3 shows it is competitive.
To show the difference from 2010-2011, Houston & Tennesee turned around. So did Denver from the 4-12 record. Cowboys & Lions were 6-10. 3 of the 4 NFC West teams improved in record.

(65,168 posts)It's a good situation for Bronco management, too. Few catcalls for Tebow if the option is an HoF QB and one of the best ever to play.
They also have a decent defense, a decent line, and Fox is a defensive coach, so he would just hand the keys to the offense to Manning.

(41,692 posts)I'd put money on the Broncos as well.
Elway knows damn well that Tebow will not lead them to the promise land---but he also knows that the Tebow Sycophants and that includes a couple in this group, are so far up Tebows ass that it would be difficult to dump him without a big move like Manning.
They will throw bank at Manning to make this happen---and make no mistake--- Manning is in it for the Bank.

(17,087 posts)As you say, he needs some major leverage with the fanbase in Colorado Springs to unload Tebow, and Manning gives him that.
The Titans are making a major run, though. I think it will come down to $ for Manning, but the Titans would be an easier fit with his history, and allow him to avoid the Tebow controversy entirely.
