(4,578 posts)Yeah! Actually this was likely the only way they could get rid of him in front of the fans and get away with it.
Wonder where he will end up. I doubt they will keep him.

And will people hate Manning for taking Tebow's job?
bluedigger
(17,086 posts)Supposition is that the Broncos ' moving Tebow was one of Manning's conditions.
Now we can start...
The Tebow Watch.
We are never going to be rid of this miserable...

"Manning is going to be scrambling around just like Tebow...and get sacked"
Mark Schlereth was just on and did a great job taking them on.

(15,953 posts)After years of suffering with a sub-par QB in Carolina he must have been wondering if he'd ever coach a team with a real QB.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's already gassed up and ready to drive Tebow to the airport.

(4,528 posts)Denver is one of the best football towns. I used to live there and it's almost like a college town atmosphere.
Denver has been loyal because they are on original AFL franchise. it is also a very good sports town and one of the best cities to live in.
I will be moving there as one of my two houses for retirement. I just spent a month there checking it out. Still great.

(4,528 posts)Denver's weather is unbeatable. 300 days of sunshine, no humidity and a mild winter.

(29,322 posts)Fantastic weather, the winter is not as bad as people imagine. They'll have a freak snow-storm in October occasionally but overall it is great.

(31,169 posts)Harbaugh repeatedly said Smith was his guy for 2012 -- even asked Smith to caddy for him at the AT&T ProAm. Then he and the GM pull a boner move like this. I don't blame them for going after Manning -- just be sure you're willing to put up the bucks to get him.
Totally blew up in their faces.
JonLP24
(29,322 posts)like failure to mention Suns home games as a reason for a their turnaround but one of them mentioned something that I thought was brilliant.
A lot of the national guys said Kolb wouldn't mind the Cardinals looking at Peyton Manning because he is Peyton Manning. I heard something similar for Smith.
But the local sports guy said, "If my wife left me for George Clooney, it would still hurt." Now I think Kolb and probably Smith were a little bothered by it.
Auggie
(31,169 posts)Granted, can't say I blame him considering the shit he put up with in San Francisco. He's weathered stinging criticism from Nolan and Singletary, and now's been stabbed in the back by Harbaugh.
What a bad luck scenario this could turn into for the 49ers: a Super Bowl quality defense, Pro Bowl quality ball handlers, but no experienced QB.
