Former Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb thinks that Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III will have trouble in Washington because of Mike and Kyle Shanahans egos.
Appearing Thursday morning on ESPNs First Take, McNabb said he doubts that Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan have the humility to tailor their offense to Griffins strengths.
No, McNabb said when he was asked whether Shanahan was a good fit of a coach for Griffin. I say that because a lot of times, ego gets too involved when it comes to being in Washington.
Heres a guy, whos coming out, whos very talented. Mobile, strong arm, regarded as being very intelligent, football mind. Are you going to cater the offense around his talent and what hes able to do, or are you going to bring the Houston offense with Matt Schaub over to him, and just have him embedded in it? Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator in Houston with Schaub as quarterback.

(42,998 posts)Somehow I think this is not exactly wisdom. Both Shannahan and McNabb are idiots in my book. Doesn't mean McNabb is right though. I've lost what respect I had for him. Bitter party of one!
