The info should be in the owner's manual, if rentals have the manual in the glove box.

7. Just use the 87. I just bought a 2024 Corolla, and the dealer rep told me that's what to use.

11. My 1970 Corolla for $1798 new from the dealer

cracked the head after the warranty expired, and Toyota replaced it for free. You probably paid a touch more than the $1798 MSRP I paid, but the quality of those Corolla’s is worth it.

it will probably say on a label what fuel but I'm sure regular is fine. Might also say it on a label in the front by the radiator when you open the hood.

He said it was a half-hour drive but he had some shine in his trunk. A bit too strong for my taste.

Have to agree with you that straight up, real Moonshine (not the crap they sell in the ABC store) will take your breath away. However, we cut it with some fruit juice (we used a bottle of Fuze banana juice, around 70% juice, 30% shine) over ice, and got a nice drink that took only one split between Mrs Best and I to make us feel good ending the day.

15. Recently I rented a car with no gas cap

You push on the door to the filler tube and the cap or plug is attached to the door. When I opened the door it was strange to see the open gas pipe.
I guess too many people lose the caps and the resulting venting screws up the leaks check detectors.
