I went to the grocery store yesterday and saw one in the parking lot and had a big WTF moment! I think it looks like someone handy with metal work turned their vehicle into a tank.

on the pedal like the brake pedal.
Or a pedal made of textured metal in one piece?

One of the last places you want to have pieces come apart.

It also looks like it has no room over the foot for people like me with big feet or wear boots. My foot would have to be near the hinge.
