Just curious - what do you pay for a seat at a Giants game on average? Looks like tickets run $15-1000 for a single seat.

Baseball used to be the cheapest game in town. I remember 8 dollar bleacher seats, but that's the thing of the past, people who want to see Baseball need to have access to the internet, to own a smart phone or printer, and public libraries are disappearing from cities and towns across this nation due to Republicans who no longer support them or even want them.. they are a place the homeless hang out all day, and they don't want that. They could give a shit anyone who is not Rich like them.

That was in 1985. That would be $9 today. So your $8 seat from 1985 would be $16-17. Yet you can get Giants tickets for $15. Inflation.

. . . my dad paying $5 for box seats at Wrigley in roughly the 10th row about dead even with 3rd base. (Home dugout there is third base side.) He, my mom, me and my grandpa would go and it would be $20 for the tickets. Walk up bleacher seats were $2, but only $1.50 if the game had already begun.

Used to see 500 to 1000 people in the bleachers at 1:15, and about 3 thousand at 1:30!

Wrigley wasn't quite the "attraction" then it is now. Cubs were lucky to draw 1.5 million for the season in the 60's and the early 70's. Now they average 30k per game.

Printers break (or just won't cooperate,I had an awful time getting the tickets I got through work to print), cell phones die, I'm sure the Dodgers have contingency plans for fans who don't have printer or cell access. I'm guessing you'd just need an ID and whatever confirmation number they gave you when you bought the tickets.

There was no price on that item, and this particular store is notorious for putting their sale signs in front of non sale items.

I was told that all 'special sales' are now totally digital. I have a very limited data plan on my phone an didn't want to use any up pulling up the email that contained the ad, and the price check scanner wasn't working! So, I had to get the department manager to check the item with his hand held scanner. What a pain.

They did apologize for the lack of a price sign on the case. Hopefully when they did put it out, they put it in front of the correct item because when I was at that case, everything was jumbled.

They are either in business or they are not. It’s not your job to do their work for them or to use your equipment and services to gather information that should be readily provided by something as simple as a sign on a display.

And a WHOLE lot of self-checks with nobody at them, while the human operated on had a line. I stood in line.

I used to do most of my shopping at this store, but it just got to be too frustrating. Now I stop by only when there is an unbeatable sale.

It's a shame that they have made it difficult for you to shop at their store, but that was a decision made by management either at the store or at their HQ. There is no need for any of us to spend time performing free labor for any business.

Now the things you shop for the most are on opposite sides of the store - groceries on one side and the 'health and beauty' are on the other with automotive in between.

I now do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi's. Just 3 aisles and the store has pretty much every grocery item I need. Plus, there are no self check lanes and the store staff is absolutely wonderful.

our local newspaper just did their annual report on the Best Places to Work in St. Louis. Aldi was listed in the group of large companies, the local grocers one of whom carried the tag line "The Friendliest Stores In Town" for years has never been on the list.

I think the owners are cousins. I have noticed an occasional 'cross over' type item. Last Christmas they had something very similar to the triple ginger beer Trader Joe's carries.

They have free 'puters w/ free internet and cheap one-page printing! I bet they'd help you out!

You can also order up a pretty good printer on HSN with extended payment plans for less than a good meal out a month!

I can't even imagine what a seat and parking and a snack and a drink would cost.

You usually do not need a card . Worth it to get the tickets if you can find one near to you no hassle unless it is busy
Also freedom pop 200mb free every month . Buy one of their cheap phones and do not go over 200mb . The phones are as cheap as $20 then you have a smart phone and every mo 200 mb use only on smart device temp needed apps etc.

But you know that Libraries across the nation are starting to disappear... soon they will be gone thanks to the Republicans who don't want to support them, nor do they want anyone to read and learn, and know.

They have been hit by funding cuts and the internet has lessened traffic in many places . Support your library, print your tickets there, and go watch a baseball game - all good!

(my seats were expensive and no more 8 dollar bleacher seats, try 20 dollar bleacher seats) on top of the printing cost, and so by the time you have it all added up, you start to think maybe buying more food is a better option than going to a baseball game or perhaps better yet, investing in a PS4 so you can play games without having to sacrifice your dinners.

remodeling and/or rebuilding every branch in the system over a 5 year plan. It is in no danger of disappearing as they have sought and secured funding and aligned their mission beyond just checking out books into more of one of a community center.

Stay home, watch the game on internet, (mlb.com has packages) or listen to the game on the Radio. Not sure it will be that easy when the Raiders go to LAS VEGAS...its likely there will be no Raiders network to broadcast games back to the bay area.
