Pretty sure his Full name is -Itgetsbyadiving Derek Jeter.

Jeter is simultaneously a no doubt 1st ballot Hall of Fame player and super duper over rated.

Some ESPN talking heads are even arguing he was the best SS of all time, when for the last 6 years of his career he wasn't even the best short stop on the Yankees.

The Yanks get the best shortstop in baseball for the highest salary in sport and "anything for the team" Captain Jeter forces him to play out of position because Derek wants to be the SS.

The Yankees draft and sevelop a virtual vacuum cleaner of a defensive SS and Jeter pushes him to 2nd because Derek is the SS

Great player, deserves to be a 1st ballot guy.

Super glad he wasn't unanimous.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - he reamed his current team to help his old team and the MLB office should have investigated the Giancarlo Stanton deal.
